Samih is a Doctor of Pharmacy from Lebanon and a clinical research professional with a master's degree from Université Paris-Saclay. He works as a quality coordinator and clinical researcher while advancing public-health education in his community.
In 2023 he founded The SAPHe Community to address taboos around sexual and reproductive health in MENA. In 2024 he was selected as a Moonshot Young Leader and recognized in the Health category of the Moonshot Awards for his work creating safe, evidence-based dialogue with youth.
His motivation is personal as well as professional — including losing his father to cancer, an experience that shaped his commitment to preventive health.
Why this matters in MENA
Sexual and reproductive health education remains heavily stigmatized across much of the region. Young people often grow up without accurate, judgment-free information on their bodies, relationships and well-being.
SAPHe exists to change that — one workshop, one episode, one honest conversation at a time.
